We currently have nearly 600 units of affordable housing. Our real estate development for seniors with limited incomes, “The Commons on Classen” has earned state and national attention. The Urban Land Institute Oklahoma named Commons on Classen as an Impact Award winner, which recognizes projects that exemplify best practices in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities.
The Commons on Classen is a $4.2 million project in Oklahoma City’s Midtown District that provides nearly 50 units of affordable housing to seniors with limited incomes. This is one example of how Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma identifies a need in the community and offers innovative real estate development solutions. The Commons on Classen utilized tax credits to create this award-winning affordable housing project.
